The Design Idea Owner/Art Director, Tad Smith, enjoys painting and creating custom art. His artwork is displayed in various art galleries across Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tucson.
From August 2005 to January 2008, Tad and Heather owned 'Studeo Tad', an art gallery held open for the First Friday Phoenix Art Walk. Their they showcased Tad's artwork, and that of other local artists. They also held many events for local charities and non-profit organizations, such as Phoenix Children's Hospital and Gabriel's Angels.
In February 2009, Tad had a show at Cornelius Hollander Jewelry in Scottsdale. For the showing, Tad created highly textured fields of color, that included raw amethyst stones.
